Aerodromes and Heliports

To use aerodromes and heliports for commercial flight operations or training flights, the airfield or heliport must have a certificate which certifies that it meets the requirements for the safe operation of aircraft.

The procedure for the certification of aerodromes and heliports and the requirements for the contents and creation of their operating manuals are regulated by the Minister of Economic Affairs and Communication.

Aerodromes and heliports are certified by the Estonian Transport Administration.

A state fee must be paid for the review of the initial application and change request for the aerodrome and heliport certification, for changing operating conditions and for the issuing of a new certificate upon expiration.
