Visual runways

Visual runways are airfields without radio navigation equipment where the landing and takeoff of aircraft are conducted according to visual flight regulations.

These airfields can only be used during good weather with high visibility (cloud height at least 450 metres and visibility on land at least five kilometres).

Data on visual runways and the restrictions on the use of visual runways set by owners can be found in the VFR information guide.

The visual runways in Estonia are in the Pärnu, Kihnu and Ruhnu airports. Information on them can also be found in the Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP).
